Rusty
Wallace made an appearance at the Fort Bragg
army base on Friday. In fact, Wallace showed
up a little early so he cold wheel around
in a tank.
It
wasn't his standard equipment, but if Uncle
Sam comes calling, Wallace might answer.
"It's
the most fun I've ever had in my life, "
he said. "I had a blast, I couldn't stop
smiling all night long. That tank would
run 70 mph, and I'm going through 6-7 foot
holes. It's unreal what that will do."
The
fans waiting for Wallace's autograph saw
a real-life slice of the driver. "I got
out of that thing, I was muddy from head
to toe," said Wallace. "I was as dirty as
I've ever been at an appearance. I had mud
all over me, hair sticking straight up,
I had mud in my hair. We were wide open."
