first race was at Michigan in June 1996.
Sterling
Marlin was dominating the field. Then on the
last stop, a gas and go, Rusty just drove
by the pits without stopping and I thought
I was going to just die, cause it was getting
close to running out of gas. Well needless
to say it was a "No stopping Rusty" moment.
He just keep driving until he reached that
checkered flag, and WON the race.
Boy
there wasn't a fan around that could hear
anything but me yelling my fool head off,
cheering. I tell you that any Earnhardt fan
that got near me was a very sorry one. I was
not giving anyone a break. It was the greatest
thing I have ever experienced. Your first
NASCAR race ever and your guy wins, what a
dream come true!
